Activities at Woodside HallAn Activities Co-ordinator attends the home five times a week. In-house activities include the following: - Musical movement; table & ball games; artwork; discussion groups; table games; poetry reading; handicrafts and much, much more. Music features hugely in our programme and outside entertainers perform all types of music. In addition, a touring theatre company visits four times a year. Family and friends are more than welcome to join in. An activities programme is circulated to all Residents and a copy can be found in the foyer or at Reception. Interdenominational Holy Communion is given by the local clergy and everyone is invited to attend. Personal visits from the clergy are welcomed. Woodside Hall has been providing nursing care for the elderly for the past 25 years. At Woodside high standards are maintained by providing friendly, courteous and personal care for all our residents. The 24-hour total nursing care provided is designed to build on your own strengths, offer choices, to encourage confidence in your own abilities and to improve the quality of your life. At Woodside Hall the friendly atmosphere ensures that everyone continues their daily life with personal privacy and dignity. Friends, relatives and guests are always welcome. Woodside Hall is served by local general practitioners and residents are encouraged to remain with their own personal doctor whenever possible. VisitorsFamily and friends are always made very welcome and encouraged to visit, stay for a meal and spend time together. Staff will always be on hand to answer questions and tea or coffee is available upon request. Woodside Hall is constantly endeavoring to improve the service offered to Residents and Visitors. We welcome any suggestions for change or any comments you may wish to make. Hairdressing & ChiropodyA hairdresser and registered chiropodists regularly visit Woodside Hall and appointments can be made upon request. Dental, optometric and physiotherapy treatment can also be arranged. (We regret that these 'extras' are not included in the fees.) |
